Abstract
This presentation will be an overview of the applications and technologies of traffic signalization for intersection control in the United States. This seminar will include the advancements in controller equipment, detection, signal displays, and coordinated operation, and how the requirements of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) for signal control have evolved.
Presenter
Peter J. (“Pete”) Yauch, P.E., PTOE, RSP2I, IMSA Signals III, is a vice president with Iteris, Inc., in their Tampa office. He has over 45 years of experience in traffic signal design and operation, and over his career has served as the signal systems Engineer for FDOT District Seven, city traffic engineer for Clearwater, and director of transportation for Pinellas County.
