From August 2-3, 2023, the Motorcycle Injury Prevention Research Program hosted the fourth meeting of the 2022-2023 grant cycle for the Florida Motorcycle Safety Coalition, Ride Smart Florida, at CUTR. Presentations were given on the latest Florida motorcycle crash data as well as a report-out of motorcyclist education, communication, and outreach efforts. A guest speaker, Mr. Eric Trow, a Motorcycle Safety Specialist/Journalist, provided an engaging presentation on motorcycle lane splitting. The Coalition wrapped up the last meeting of the quarter with a discussion of their annual achievements.
