System Architecture Design for Collaborative Automated Driving Systems
TUESDAY, October 3, 2023
12 PM – 1 PM ET
SPECIAL SESSION
Abstract
This presentation will discuss the system architecture design for a Collaborative Automated Driving System (CADS). Various technical approaches for vehicle-highway automation will be reviewed, including Autonomous Vehicle (AV) System, Connected Automated Vehicle (CAV) System, Connected Automated Vehicle-Highway (CAVH) System, and Vehicle-Road-Cloud (VRC) System. Specifically, the integrated Vehicle-Road-Cloud System will be discussed in detail. To support the system architecture design, the classification of Connected Automated Driving System (CADS) and the classification of Connected Automated Roadway (CAR) will be presented and discussed. Finally, the development of system architecture for vehicle-highway automation in the US, China, and Europe will be discussed.
