Abstract
The onset of COVID-19 has changed where and when people are flying. As a result, capacity constraints have changed along with delays. The FAA has also changed response mechanisms to control where delays are absorbed. New technologies are playing a role in NAS changes.
Presenter
Dave Knorr has spent his entire 40-year career in aviation with more than 30 years working for the FAA. Mr. Knorr currently leads Systems Analysis and Modeling for the FAA’s NextGen organization. His team is responsible for reaching an agreement with airlines on the value of new technology and procedure implementations. He has held numerous positions with the FAA including serving as the FAA’s representative in Europe. He holds a degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in industrial engineering and operations research from Virginia Tech.
