This event is hosted by the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) and the Greater Tampa Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (GTSITE).
Fostering a Prepared Workforce
By investing in the preparation of future transportation experts, CUTR and ITE are contributing to the development of a resilient and innovative workforce that will address the evolving needs of the transportation and planning sectors.
The mock interviews enhance students’ readiness by offering a simulated experience, allowing them to refine their communication skills and understand the expectations of prospective employers. This annual event is an incredible opportunity for students to practice their interview skills in a risk averse setting.
How It Works
While the interviews are mock, the connections are real! CUTR will host in-person mock interviews. Students are encouraged to dress professionally, and come prepared to practice their interview skills.
Transportation and planning professionals throughout the Tampa Bay region will meet with students to discuss their experience and future goals. The purpose is to give students a realistic interview before heading into the job market. This is not an actual interview.
Lunch will be served after the interviews have concluded at noon, and participants will be encouraged to mingle with each other as we eat.
