Closer to Target Zero: A Comprehensive Safety Plan for Motorcycle and Moped Riders in the Tampa Bay Area for the Safe Streets For All (SS4A) grant has been successfully awarded.
This award will be used to conduct supplemental planning and demonstration activities to address the significant safety challenges involving motorcycles and mopeds in the Tampa Bay area, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties. The supplemental planning activities include developing a supplemental motorcycle and moped safety plan for each county by conducting targeted safety assessments, network screening, and road safety audits, and the demonstration activity will also pilot an innovative program to better engage local communities on motorcycle and moped safety issues.
