Daniel is an exchange student from Germany. He joined the German Airforce in 2012 to pursue a career as an officer. After finishing basic training and officer school, he studied Civil Engineering in 2013 at the University of Federal Armed Forces in Munich, Germany, which he completed in 2016. Afterwards, he majored in Infrastructure and Hydraulic Engineering for the Master’s program. He is currently conducting an international exchange program for his Master’s thesis at CUTR from April-August 2017, supervised by Dr. Robert Bertini. The topic of his thesis is “Variable Speed Limit Systems Algorithms and Implementations – A Worldwide Overview”. After graduating from the University of Federal Armed Forces in September 2017, he plans to continue his military service as an officer in becoming an Air Traffic Controller in the German Airforce.
