Biography

Alexandria Carroll is a Research Associate with the Planning and Corridor Management Team at USF’s Center for Urban Transportation Research. Her specialties include multimodal transportation planning, land use and transportation policy, freight planning, livability, and sustainable development. Her recent work has focused on integrating freight and livability, evaluating equity in transportation, and analyzing the staffing and organizational structures of metropolitan planning organizations. Ms. Carroll has a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from the University of South Florida.

Developed a menu of strategies for decision makers to consider when integrating freight in
livability planning. Provided case examples of how various communities across the U.S. are
addressing freight challenges and needs.

Developed a model multimodal transportation planning curriculum for university-level planning
courses.
