Dr. Keita is a result-driven transportation planning and engineering researcher with comprehensive experience and education in urban planning and policy and civil engineering. She holds a PhD in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University. Her research interest is in the area of intermodal transportation, equity in transportation, and big data. Dr. Keita has surveyed big data organizations to understand emerging urban big data initiatives, has assessed technology-driven solutions to improve intermodal passenger transportation, and worked on identifying gender issues in transportation. She also has traffic engineering experience and assessed intersection capacity and the efficiency of traffic algorithms to determine delays at road intersections. She is a detail-oriented professional capable of leveraging her extensive experience and research skills to improve mobility.
