Randy McDuffie
Biography
Randy McDuffie is currently a Vehicle Field Inspector at the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida. His comprehensive career in transit began in 1984 as a bus maintenance technician with Jacksonville Transit Authority.
In 1996, Randy transferred to the JTA “Skyway” where he served as a lead technician and trainer on the Automated Train System. Randy returned to bus maintenance in 2011 as a lead technician in the electrical department. Randy ended his 30-year tenure with JTA by retiring in July 2014. Randy started a new career in August 2014 with Florida State University as a maintenance specialist under the Preventative Maintenance Planning, Training & Technical Assistance Program (PrMPT).
In October 2018, the PrMPT program was moved to CUTR and is now the Florida Compliance Oversight and Technical Assistance Program.
