Nikhil is a transportation planner with experience working on projects at the interface of academia and industry. He is a current Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) – University of South Florida. There, he works on projects in the areas of autonomous vehicles, shared mobility, big data, and travel behavior. His research expertise centers around the behavioral modeling of emerging vehicle technologies in urban systems. He possesses extensive experience working on understanding public perceptions towards emerging vehicle technologies and studying the influencing factors that lead to their adoption (or non-adoption). In addition to his extensive experience with autonomous vehicles, Nikhil has also been involved in Florida DOT’s initiatives in the fields of logistics and aviation. He possesses excellent data analysis, econometric modeling skills and is an expert in survey design and associated data collection methodologies.
