Deborah Schultz has worked at CUTR since 2012, first working with the Motorcycle Safety program and currently working with the ITS program. She is a Program Planner/Analyst responsible for effective administration and assistance with planning and facilitation to promote, develop, and coordinate the Safety by Design pedestrian and bicycle safety program, assist with the Peer-to-Peer University Education project, and assist with the NHTSA Statewide Pedestrian and Bicycle Focus Education project. Ms. Schultz participates in the management of resources and the delivery of services, development of promotional materials, development of website and Facebook content, events and informational sessions, and the analysis and evaluation of project data. She is well versed in the USF travel and purchase processes and programs, such as Archivum, FAST, Data Marts, and more.
Ms. Schultz has been the director for the CUTR Transportation Achievement Awards event since 2018. This is CUTR’s signature annual event that honors individuals in the field of transportation and awards student scholarships. Her responsibilities include marketing the event, all arrangements and management of the reception, presentation of numerous transportation awards to students and professionals, and dinner. She is also responsible to secure and manage the sponsorships for this event, which includes businesses, organizations, and individuals.
