Bomin is pursuing a PhD degree in Environmental Science and Policy at the School of Geosciences. She is researching the changes of human behavior from a built environment, real estate, housing prices and affordability, employing quantitative analysis, and geospatial analysis.

Bomin’s undergraduate major was in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from SUNY-Stony Brook. In her last year of college, she worked at a GIS consulting company which sparked her interest in urban planning. She completed her Master’s in Urban Planning at the Seoul National University located in Seoul, Korea, her thesis being “Evaluation on Seoul Street Renovation Projects- Changes in Traffic Volume and Transportation Mode: an Empirical Study”.  She also worked at the Seoul Development Institute in the transportation department.

Currently she works with Dr. Zhenyu Wang on the Motorcycle Safety and Horizontal Curves in the Florida development project.
