PROFILE:

I am a senior economist with extensive experience in urban and regional economic impact analysis and transportation policy analysis.  My research work focuses on the study of the linkages between transportation infrastructure investment, economic development, and residential location patterns.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Research Associate Professor                                                January 2012 – Present

Center for Urban Transportation Research, College of Engineering, University of South Florida

  • Currently working as part of a faculty cluster focused on the sustainability of transportation and land-use systems.
  • Conduct statewide economic impact analysis of:

–   Airport operation and freight movement.

–   State tolling agency work plans.

–   Fixed-route public transportation system.

–   Transportation infrastructure improvements.

  • Developed an analytical polycentric-based model of residential location and travel demand
  • Developed TRIMMSTM a benefit-cost analysis model to evaluate a broad range of TDM strategies.

Senior Research Associate                                                 December 2001-December 2011

  • Design and implement dynamic pricing schedule under DOT/FDOT dynamic pricing pilot project.
  • Designed and developed BuFFeT© – Bus Fleet Fuel Evaluation Tool – to evaluate cost feasibility of alternative fuels for mass transit.
