CUTR Advisory Board
CUTR appreciates the service and guidance provided by the 12-member statutory CUTR Advisory Board. Board members are nominated for two- or four-year terms by the College of Engineering to the President of the University of South Florida, approved by the Florida Transportation Commission and confirmed by the State University System of Florida Board of Governors. All current statutory board members were appointed under the leadership of past CUTR directors. Specific responsibilities of the Advisory Board include:
- Maintaining a strong advocacy role on behalf of the center, including communicating specific CUTR assets and needs to appropriate administrative, legislative and customer bodies and seeking opportunities to contribute to the resolution of important societal issues.
- Assisting with the identification of future research directions for CUTR and maximizing our involvement in local, state and national problem solving.
- Assisting with activities related to advancement/development, specifically fundraising activities on behalf of CUTR.
- Providing advice on CUTR’s participation in education and training programs of the University of South Florida.
The statutory Advisory Board is currently guided by bylaws that were developed and approved in 2003.
