CUTR researcher Sara J. Hendricks, AICP, TDM-CP, was recently honored with the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Champion Award at the 40th Annual International Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) Conference, held in July 2026 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Selected for this President’s Award in recognition of her longstanding commitment to the TDM profession, Hendricks has played a key role in advancing transportation options that improve mobility and accessibility. Her recent accomplishments include chairing the organizing committee for the Carpool Action Summit and developing study materials to help transportation professionals prepare for the TDM-CP certification exam.
“I hope that this recognition brings attention to the research, training, and community outreach work that CUTR has done for over thirty years to remove barriers to the use of public transportation, walking, bicycling, carpooling, and vanpooling,” said Hendricks. “Having safe, effective, convenient, and inexpensive travel choices improves people’s lives.”
