About
Purpose
The Tampa Bay Community Safety Academy (TBCSA)is a FREE, six-week virtual course designed to engage and empower community members who want to learn more about transportation safety.
This course will provide you with the foundational knowledge and tools needed to become an effective safety ambassador in the Tampa Bay region (Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties). You will learn about key local, state, and national initiatives, such as the Safe System Approach and Target Zero, which aim to create a safer, more resilient transportation network.
If you have little or no background in transportation safety, this course is for you!
Schedule
Classes will begin on October 1st, 2025, and end on November 5th, 2025. The live virtual class sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 6 pm to 7 pm. All sessions will be recorded and available exclusively to TBCSA participants. Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Registering does not guarantee you a spot in the course. If space is not available, you will be notified and placed on a waiting list.
