This pilot program at the University of South Florida (USF) Tampa campus investigated driver behaviors among students, faculty, and staff using an online survey and a social marketing framework to enhance roadway safety. Conducted in collaboration with the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR), the initiative introduced a Student Government Transportation Officer role to advocate for infrastructure improvements and promote safety-focused social change. Emphasizing the elevated crash risks for young adult drivers, the study highlights the need for targeted interventions, infrastructure enhancements, and student-led efforts to foster a safer, multimodal campus transportation environment.
