CUTR’s Jeff Kramer, AICP, participated in the Brightline Tampa Delegation Tour in early November 2023. The delegation included several elected officials, including Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, Brightline leadership, and local transportation leaders. The delegation rode the Brightline train from Miami to Orlando and explored station locations and nearby transit-oriented development along the way. They were welcomed at each stop by local elected officials and transportation leaders including Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James, and the CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority Kevin Thibault. The delegation also discussed plans to extend services to Tampa with Brightline President Patrick Goddard. The tour was organized by the Tampa Bay Partnership and led by Brightline Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, Christine Kefauver.
