Brian Freeman (left) with Indian River County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and CUTR’s Jonathan Roberson (right) led a Transit Development Plan (TDP) Public Workshop at the Gifford Youth Achievement Center in Vero Beach, Florida in June of 2023. The workshop aimed to engage residents in discussions about enhancing public transportation options for themselves, their families, and friends. In addition, residents were encouraged to complete a survey outlining their public transportation improvement preferences. This public input proved critical in informing the final TDP and helped lead to broader support for funding an expansion of public transportation service hours in Indian River County.
