Poojitha Bolleni is a graduate student research assistant working with CUTR’s Sara Hendricks. Poojitha is currently working on piloting vehicle occupancy detection on managed lanes using an innovative mobility platform to increase carpooling and reduce pollution in collaboration with NICR (National Institute for Congestion Reduction). While working with her father (an automobile engineer), Poojitha became fascinated with vehicles and transportation. Her advice for undergraduate students? Learn. “Explore new things, learn new technology. Experience is your best teacher. Build your network with skillful learners and disciplined people.” In her spare time, Poojitha loves watching Shark Tank and playing sports, especially basketball.
