Stephen Berry, Deputy Director for Transit Safety and Workforce Development Program actively participated in 2019 Safety & Security Symposium hosted by Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART). Berry, who spoke at the event, has 30 years of experience in public service, including the US Armed Forces. Berry, along with Mayor Jane Castor, Chief Executive Officer of HART Ben Limmer, and other representatives from throughout the nation and the state gathered to “develop solutions to improve operator and customer safety on public transportation with topics ranging from Transit Worker Altercations to Hazard and Threat Identification and Analysis.”
