Participants from across the globe met last month at the 6th Annual Florida Automated Vehicle (FAV) Summit in Tampa, Florida. The Summit brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss the implementation and deployment of automated, connected, electric, and shared mobility technologies. CUTR has been involved with the Florida Automated Vehicle Summit since its inception in 2013, and partnered with the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) to host this year’s 6th Annual FAV Summit at the Tampa Marriott Waterside and Convention Center.
This year, attendees were also updated on the progress of the THEA Connected Vehicle (CV) Pilot, which is a U.S. Department of Transportation-awarded contract that tests and deploys CV technology in downtown Tampa. THEA is testing connected vehicle technologies that intend to improve safety and mobility by reducing conflicts and improving traffic flow.
