Dr. Achilleas Kourtellis, has worked with the ITS program at CUTR since 2006. He has served as PI and co-PI for several projects including crash avoidance technologies for large trucks, transit vehicles, pedestrian and bicycle safety and several transit related projects. He has performed numerous driving controlled tests to evaluate technologies in vehicles, driver acceptance of technology tests, pedestrian and bicycle safety research as well as research on automated and connected vehicles. He also serves as an instructor for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at USF.
