The fourth annual CUTR Student Poster Competition was held at the CUTR Transportation Achievement Awards event during the reception on October 4, 2017 in the USF Student Marshall Center. It was a great opportunity for students to showcase their research on various transportation related topics. The participants did an amazing job and showed great creativity. The posters were judged by Dr. Pei-Sung Lin, P.E., CUTR, ITS Traffic and Operations & Safety Program Director, Dr. Seckin Ozkul, P.E., CUTR Research Associate, Dr. Zhenyu Wang, CUTR Research Associate, Dr. Cong Chen, E.I.T., CUTR Postdoctoral Scholar, Pete Yauch, Albeck Gerken, Inc., and Jean Duncan, Transportation Manager, City of Tampa. There were monetary awards for the first, second, and third place poster winners in the amounts of $500, $350, and $250 respectively. The winners of the competition were announced at the awards event. Yu Wang, Hualong Tang and Amir Ghiasi won first, second, and third places respectively. The other students who participated were Zhiwei Chen, Dharmin Kukadia, Kurt Lehmann, Trang Luong, Zhila Nouri, Abhijit Vasili, and Yuan Wang. Thank you to all who took the time to come out and be a part of this event. The competition was a success thanks to the team effort of the CUTR staff, students and faculty.
