CUTR’s National Transit Safety Standards Working Group have kick-off meeting in Tampa

The Transit Safety Standards Working Group has been formed to provide input and inform CUTR’s FTA research team in the identification of recommended transit safety standards for FTA’s consideration.

On February 15-16, 2017, CUTR’s National Transit Safety Standards Working Group had its kick-off meeting. The Working Group has been formed to provide input to and inform CUTR’s FTA research project team in the identification of recommended transit standards for FTA’s consideration. The Working Group will help advance FTA’s Safety Standards Strategic Plan and Standards Development Program. For more information, contact Lisa Staes or Jodi Godfrey.

On February 14, 2017, CUTR and its partners from the Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (TTCI), met with College of Engineering faculty to examine crashworthiness and crash energy management research and testing capabilities and discuss potential teaming opportunities.
