USF utilized funding from Hillsborough County for the New North Transportation Alliance (NNTA), a Commuter Assistance Program that includes promotion of Best Workplaces for Commuters to New North employers, participation in Tampa BayCycle and promotion of walking and bicycling safety, support of USF’s sustainability goal to reduce its campus carbon footprint through promotion of Zimride, bikesharing and Enterprise CarShare, and the preparation and conduct of regular Board meetings that provide NNTA stakeholder input to County planning efforts and provide a forum for public/private discussion and problem solving regarding New North congestion and mobility issues. USF/NNTA provided its work plan for its activities to the County and submitted an annual report that documented its performance, as it relates to the established Florida Department of Transportation performance criteria.
