University of South Florida’s Bulls Walk and Bike Week
The University of South Florida’s (USF) Bulls Walk and Bike Week (BWBW) is an annual celebration that takes place on the campus of USF in Tampa, Florida. The focus of the event is to educate students, faculty and staff on the importance of pedestrian, bicycle and driver safety. Each year, Florida’s pedestrian and bicycle fatality rate is ranked among the highest in the U.S. The Bulls Walk and Bike Week gives students the opportunity to participate with various campus-wide safety events including: group rides, campus parade walks, and mobility education through our community partnerships. Presenter: Jason Jackman, Research Associate, Center for Urban Transportation Research, University of South Florida
Jason Jackman has worked at the Center for Urban Transportation Research since 2008. In 2015, Mr. Jackman joined CUTR’s ITS, Traffic Operations and Safety team to work on the Florida Pedestrian Bicycle Strategic Safety Program. Mr. Jackman is a League Cycling Instructor with the League of American Bicyclists. Mr. Jackman’s areas of expertise include: Safe Route School, Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety, Community and University Outreach.
