Introduction to Airport Economics
The Florida Airports Council and the Center for Urban Transportation Research are pleased to present Introduction to Airport Economics. This is a special 1-hour online program was designed to introduce participants to the basics of airport financial activities. As an introductory course, this session is perfect for those new to airports and as a refresher for those who work in airport administration, finance, or properties departments. Participants will come away with a deeper understanding of how the money works at airports.
Topics that will be covered in this session include:
- Overview of the airport as an enterprise
- Operating revenues and expenses
- Budgeting, Reporting and Business Plans
- Capital Funding
The session was moderated by Michael Audino, a Senior Researcher at CUTR, a former Ambassador for the ACRP, and co-facilitator of the FDOT and FAC-sponsored Airport Leadership Development Program.
