The Who and What: Bus Rapid Transit Riders and Systems in the U.S.
Presenter: Cheryl Thole
Do you want to learn about BRT systems in the U.S.? What are the characteristics of riders of some BRT systems and how are they similar to other transit riders in the U.S.? What type of BRT routes are transit agencies operating and planning, and what type of characteristics define these routes? Spend an hour learning more about the mode, with a presentation that will focus on both rider demographics of three BRT systems (the EmX in Eugene, Oregon, the Orange Line in Los Angeles, and the San Pablo Rapid – 72R in Oakland), and an overview of over 120 routes that are either currently in operation, being constructed, or planned, to understand how this mode is helping transit agencies in the provision of high quality transit service. I’ve looked at the recording but would also like to get the slides so I can save them to my BRT folder. Can you also provide the slides for download?
