Congratulations go to a student at Palm Lakes Elementary School in Hialeah, FL for winning the fifth grade poster contest for the state of Florida. The winner will receive a bicycle, bicycle light and bicycle helmet. The winner’s artwork will now go compete at the national level. Online voting will be available in a few weeks for your favorite national poster. The poster contest is brought to you by the Saris Cycling Group.
In addition to a bike, light and a helmet, one national winner will receive a three day/two night trip for two (parent or guardian, and child) to Washington D.C. during the 2014 National Bike Summit (airfare and lodging included).
The national winning school will receive bike parking for 20 bikes and The Hub System. The Hub is an active transportation tracking system. The Hub makes it easy, fun, and educational for a school to implement a walking & biking incentive program.
The second place winner is from Hollywood, FL at West Hollywood Elementary, and will receive a bicycle light and bicycle helmet.
The third place winner is from Country Hill Elementary in Coral Springs, FL, and will receive a bicycle helmet.
