May 31, 2012 This webcast summarized research conducted by the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP 06-02) that concluded that today’s airport leaders are lacking in effective leadership skills and the training and education received by these individuals is not current to the needs for leading the dynamically changing airport environments of today. Michael Audino, CUTR researcher and ACRP Project 06-02 Panel Chair, discussed how and why our nation’s airport leaders need leadership training, explain the key elements of an ACRP-proposed leadership training curriculum, and present an overview of how CUTR, the Florida DOT’s Aviation Office and the Florida Airports Council intend to provide this training to airport professionals.
