December 1, 2011 This webcast provides participants an overview of the issues and decision points concerning volunteer transportation programs. Participants will learn about issues involved with local community planning for volunteer transportation, understand the relationship between volunteer transportation and public transportation services, see examples of successful volunteer transportation programs throughout the country, and recognize the various models for implementing volunteer transportation programs. Participants will learn about the many planning and operational problems shared by volunteer transportation programs, gain insights into the unique opportunities afforded by volunteer transportation, and learn how to begin the process of establishing volunteer transportation services in their community.
