May 5, 2011 This webcast teaches users how to run TRIMMS©, a sketch-planning application to evaluate a broad range of mobility management or transportation demand management initiatives (TDM) . Users will learn to use TRIMMS (Trip Reduction Impacts of Mobility Management Strategies) to evaluate the costs and benefits associated with telecommuting, flexible working schedules, alternative works hours, and other strategies that are intended to shift travel behavior from single-occupancy vehicle use to other, more sustainable modes. Users will learn to run the application by means of a simple example to gain an understanding of what the model does and how to interpret results it produces. At the end of the session, users will learn how to: download and run the model, customize input parameters, estimate the costs and benefits of various TDM initiatives, and evaluate specific projects.
