K. Earl Durden is Chairman, CEO, and a Director of Rail Management Corporation and Durden Enterprises and has more than 30 years of experience in the start-up and operation of short line railroads. He is a Director of The Banc Corporation, a bank holding company and was Vice President and General Manager, Director, and member of the Executive Committee of the Chattahoochee Industrial Railroad in Cedar Springs, Georgia. He was appointed to the Florida Transportation Commission in 1999 and served two years as Chair. He is past Chair of the Executive Committee of the American Short Line Regional Railroad Association and served on its Legislative Policy Committee. He was a member and state coordinator of the Executive Reservist in the office of Emergency Transportation; Past President, Director, and member of the Executive Committee of Tri-Rivers Waterway Development Association; served on the Committee of 100, the Transportation Committee of the Georgia State Chamber of Commerce, the Governor of Georgia’s Business and Industry Association; and served as Chair of the Industrial Committee and Director of the Blakely-Early County Chamber of Commerce and numerous other organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.
