Freeways are heavily traveled thoroughfares that allow us to quickly get from here to there. Freeway interchange areas have become important points for providing necessities and conveniences that aid in travel comfort. Americans thrive on convenience, and yet unmanaged access to highway-oriented services causes inconvenience and disrupts the very purpose of an interchange, which is to move traffic between the freeway and arterial. Advanced planning and access management can reduce traffic conflicts and create a balance between access and mobility needs.
