PROGRAM ASSISTANT - BRT (OPS)

Part or Full Time (30-40 hrs/wk)

Pay Range: $17 - $20 per hour

CUTR has an immediate opening for a Program Assistant for its National Bus Rapid Transit Institute and transit research programs.   Successful candidate will assist researchers with developing and maintaining databases; editing, formatting, and distributing research reports; coordinating meetings and training seminars; assisting students with education program information and applications; and conducting general assistance duties. 

 

Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree and three years' experience in report production, database setup and maintenance, meeting/event coordination, general office assistance. 

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, experience in a university setting, experience with students. 

Rate of pay: $17 - $20 per hour, no benefits 


 

SENIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Bus Rapid Transit

Starting Salary Range: $50,000 - $85,000

 

CUTR has an immediate opening for a researcher for its National Bus Rapid Transit Institute, a newly-created and federally-funded institute that offers technical assistance and resources to the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) community, including those U.S.-based transit agencies, consultants, and government agencies that are planning, designing, engineering, building, and/or operating BRT systems in their communities.

   

Requires Master’s degree in a transportation-related field, 5 to 14 years’ experience in public transportation, proven project management skills, and strong presentation/technical writing skills. Prefer strong experience in Bus Rapid Transit, transit operations, short/long range transit planning, MPO planning process.

Salary range $50,000 - $85,000, depending on qualifications. Outstanding benefits package includes health insurance, generous sick/annual leave, pension contribution, and more.

CUTR is a multidisciplinary transportation research organization in the USF College of Engineering. In addition to its 45 full-time researchers, CUTR provides direct professional work experience to more than 20 graduate student assistants each semester.
